What does the 5 or 10 year written workmanship warranty cover?
Coverage follows the coating system in your signed proposal. SuperPaint includes 5 years. Duration and Emerald include 10 years. Cabinet work with 2K polyurethane includes 10 years. Covered issues can include peeling, blistering, cracking, or adhesion problems on surfaces Grove Street Painting prepared and coated within the approved scope.
Which projects qualify for the warranty?
Interior and exterior painting qualify when the signed proposal specifies SuperPaint, Duration, or Emerald. Cabinet work qualifies when it specifies 2K polyurethane. Any other service lists its own coverage separately in the proposal. We review the terms with you before work begins.
How do I make a warranty claim?
Call (941) 504-3552 or email us, point out the area of concern, and send a photo or two if you can. The owner reviews it himself, confirms it falls under your written terms, and schedules the fix. Most homeowners hear back the same business day.
Is the warranty on the paint or on the labor?
The product and workmanship warranties are separate. Your written workmanship term follows the coating system in your signed proposal. SuperPaint includes 5 years. Duration and Emerald include 10 years. Cabinet 2K polyurethane includes 10 years. Sherwin-Williams Duration also carries a manufacturer Lifetime Limited Warranty on the paint product itself.
What is not covered?
The warranty covers workmanship, not normal wear, physical damage, or issues outside our scope. Things like nail pops from house settling, damage from a leak or impact, or surfaces another contractor altered after we finished fall outside the terms. We will always tell you honestly which bucket an issue falls into.
