Yes. Grove Street Painting handles minor drywall repair as part of every painting project in Sarasota. Nail pops, screw holes, small cracks, and dings are patched, sanded, and primed before painting so your finished walls look flawless rather than just freshly colored.
Minor drywall repairs include filling nail holes and screw pops with lightweight spackle, taping and mudding hairline cracks at stress points (typically around door frames and window corners), patching small holes up to about 6 inches in diameter with drywall patches and mesh tape, and re-texturing repaired areas to match surrounding wall surfaces.
For larger drywall damage -- holes bigger than 6 inches, water-damaged sections, or areas where old wallpaper removal exposed deteriorated paper face -- we cut out the damaged section and install new drywall. The repair is taped, mudded in three coats, sanded smooth, and primed with a PVA drywall primer before your finish color goes on.
Skipping drywall repair before painting is one of the most common shortcuts that cheap painters take. Every imperfection shows through fresh paint, especially in rooms with natural light. See our drywall repair services for the full repair and preparation process included in your project scope.
